About Dan Schulz
Dan Schulz is a freelance Web developer and search engine optimization consultant living and working in the Chicago suburb of Aurora, Illinois. Not only does he specialize in creating easy to use Web sites that are accessible from any modern browser or mobile device for companies, individuals, and organizations all over the world, but he also optimizes those Web sites for the search engines using compelling keyword rich content and innovative link development strategies that consistently convert traffic into new customers, sales, and higher profits.
In addition to building Web sites, Dan also volunteers his time to worthy causes such as the John Slatin Accessibility Fund Project, an independent collaborative effort of volunteers that matches accessibility experts with companies and organizations who request brief accessibility reviews of their Web sites. He also shares his expertise and knowledge in accessibility and usability issues, (X)HTML and CSS best practices, information architecture and search engine optimization as a Design Team Advisor at SitePoint.com, a leading online media company that publishes books, kits and videos for Web professionals, and as a forum administrator at SEO.com, a Utah based company that specializes in search engine marketing and optimization services.
When he’s not building Web sites or helping others, Dan spends his free time reading books (both fiction and non-fiction) on a wide variety of subjects, playing table-top miniature and card games, watching movies, and shaking his head while the Chicago Cubs and Bears continue to find new and innovative ways to lose crucial games year after year. He also visits his friends and family on a regular basis and occasionally gets his brains blown out by sniper rifles during not-so-friendly games of Halo.
